Sony were arragont like hell. They even called xbox 360, xbox 1.5. I hated sony back than, but they somewhat became humble, after getting destroyed, for about a year. I mean sony were bunch of d1cks back than. |
They had to become humble because if they didnt even ps3 fanboys would laugh at their stupid press conferences and articles and such.
N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

As opposed to what, picking it from the money orchards they have planted around Seattle? Where the hell else are they supposed to make it?
The only possible way to make money besides profit from consumers is from a governent subsidy like the farmers get. Are you saying MS should be on the government"s payroll?

Microsoft is what is stopping sony from its "dominance" over the gaming market. Whats going on? Well were to begin. They have stolen every single game that was considered a playstation franchise developed by any 3rd party studio(yes stolen, Im so sure that SQUARE didnt decide to release STAR OCEAN 4 a massive RPG on the XBOX 360 exclusively all by themselves) They have made sony gain a terrible image in the gaming industry They have tricked consumers into thinking the XBOX 360 is the superior machine, because the original XBOX was better hardware wise They created the catch phrase "Wii60" They have dropped the price to MASS MARKET price, even though that might have but them in the red. All I know is, Microsoft wants SONY out of the gaming industry, that has since been there goal since the original XBOX, and im sure they will offer 2-3billion dollars of losses for that to happen. Buisness is buisness, and guess what, cheating is the perfect way to win. |
This is normal operating procedure for Microsoft. I seriously don't understand why people think Microsoft's practices would have been any different in the console market then any other market.
Some of the practices were similar to what Sony did to Sega, but Microsoft is on another level...
Some of it was fair competition, and clever strategy. The biggest problem I have with Microsoft is they seriously do it to not only attempt to get the best market share as a friendly rival, but the do seriously do try to drive their competition out of business. The do not simply use a companies weakness against them, such as high price and weak library, they use it to crush them... by undercutting the cost even further, and buying exclusives away.
Perhaps DTG is a communist
Never argue with idiots
They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience

Sony is in no way humble and still arent. Before they got into the gaming industry they were still assholes. Sony tried to get on Microsofts good side and work together after seeing that Nintendo was pulling away with the Wii. Microsoft said "no, this gen belongs to them, thanks." Sony soon after started bad mouthing Microsoft. You call that humble?
Business is business but the Playstation brand has gathered a fierce reputation, no way is a brand with 250+ Million consoles going to drop out of the business. PS3 has been shitted on by the media for years and guess what? PS3 numbers are still higher compared to what 360 was at the same time, WITH a higher price tag and so many of there big franchises still to go.
Then the PS2 is still going and the PSP is doing nicely, MS wont be able to get the Playstation brand to die and thank goodness for that. 10 years from now it will be MS releasing over priced consoles and not releasing a good game for 2 years.

Microsoft is being nice right now. They aren't a company that you can allow the learn how a new market works. Sony needed to keep them wet behind the ears and keep them weak, but they got arrogant. Microsoft ace carded them with their own gameplan. Sony may be evil, but Microsoft is twice as evil and dominant. Right now they are playing nice until they have reached full power.
