I heard my friend talking about the game at work. He said he saw something about it on TV and he's hyped to play it. It made me want to play it really bad.

I was hoping that the game would arrive today in the mail along with Mirror's Edge and my free yellow runner bag. Nope, I'm kind of depressed now.

Since from what I see it's mainly a graphically improved CoD4... am not getting it. I don't really like the fact that vehicles are in the game [that's just me]. CoD4's online still has quite a bit of gaming going on on PSN. I think waiting for the next CoD won't be hard at all...

trust me... its better. the neg reviews are starting from the viewpoint of "not another WWII shooter" wtf does the setting matter... it flows very nicely, it just works.

Is the WW2 setting the only thing that's been making reviewers moan and whine so much? WaW's score was abit unimpressive, yet most reviews I've seen and read about it don't really explain what's bad about it except that it's WW2 again. The funny thing is my fav online shooter of all-time was CoD:UO, which was made from a team that formed Treyarch, was also WW2, and even got the same 8.7 score on Metacritic.

I was really surprised at how much hate the WW2 theme has been getting. Even after it's been done so much, I love it. The Russian campaigns of CoD tend to pull me in the most - they usually do a pretty good job at showing how bad they had it during WW2.

Anyways....what exacly made it get low'ish scores? The only 2 flaws I can remember people mentioning are somewhat bad AI and the Flamethrower which they called overpowered. I'm definitely picking up a copy tommorrow. I'll have to get CoD4 eventually also.

On metacritic, this game is only 2 points lower than Resistance 2. The scores aren't that bad.

In fact, for a game that wasn't given the benefit of the doubt by my ahole reviewers I know, it actually scored pretty good.

I hear the campaign and co-op are the strongest features, of a feature-packed game, and if the campaign is anywhere close to CoD4, this is already been done boughted.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

The game is really good, but it feels like a soulless shooter in many levels. This is the only thing Treyarch failed.

Just look at CoD4. The last US mission and the Chernobyl missions were atmospheric and emotional.
