Forums - Sales - LBP dropped to 66K in NA (3rd week) , good or bad ?

Wow...big drop

Around the Network

We'll see I guess. Word of mouth will make or break this game. I still think it'll get to 3 million.

It's a big drop but with people still reporting not being able to find the damn thing I think we're gonna have to wait a bit before the sales settle. It should sell well over the holidays, very well I'd imagine, and hopefully keep selling strong into next year.

It is bad, I mean Kung Fu Panda outsold LBP, but I think bundles had a big part.

There are two views expressed here, and you should get a different answer depending on what view your respondant subscribes to.

If you subscribe to the Week 1 = Week 0+1, then you're going to have to say it's a somewhat bad drop. From 350k to 60k. Not horrible, but not really Wii territory either.

If on the other hand you see Week 0 as week 1, and this as week three.... then the drop seems pretty nice. From 140k to 200k to 60k. Not that bad.

If anyone that has previously subscribed to one view now has switched to the other, feel free to call them out as hypocrites.

With a little luck, Little Big Planet will hold steady at a reasonable level, and sell consistantly good for the rest of the year, and the beginning of the next. With a lot of luck, it'll turn into one of those games that just do not stop selling.

This is invisible text!

I think that Sony won't let Little Big Planet die, though. It's gonna get bundled by Spring if sales don't catch fire. It's too good of a title and too important in expanding the PS3 audience.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

Even though the drop I am going to say that LBP will have long legs

It's fine.

Depends if it keeps selling like that, its good,if it falls and never turns back to good nnumbers is fail.
