No kidding? if FFXIII sucks as much as XII did it will be the last FF game I buy.
Since it's nr 13 it doesn't look good for them.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

agreed...unforunately While I still love the good ol turn-based style, i welcomed the changes that FFXII brought and enjoyed the battle system. Now I expect SE to do something new-ish or evolve the battle system more with FFXIII and Versus, to go back to a simple Turn Based battle system would be a step back for me. (unless they found a way to jazz it up, or quicken the pace)

I think the same too. I recognize the changes they were trying to make in XII, and while I don't agree with all of them, it brought some interesting concepts, and the game was very enjoyable for me. The problem most find is that it's radically different to any FF, if the game was called any other name, most would be hoping for a sequel. It happens the same than VII, a lot of those who played the previous ones hate it for changing radically the formula. I'm all in for any change Square tries to make, they showed they can introduce good changes to the franchise. I want to see what they are experimenting now
Whoa, I missed so much on my trip home. I guess I agree with Xen (for the first time :P). If FFXIII sucks, FF is done for me.

On a side note: this topic is funny, Kitase has just been joking and Nomura didnt even say anything, but people already have decided where should these guys go, what games they should make etc. Geez I love the internetz :D

Rumor is bull but they better not leave SE, because if they did they would go to Nintendo with all the other SE refugees and the last thing I want to see is Link clad in belts and zippers with a sword the size of his body. So much fail that does not need to be distributed to the rest of the Japansee industry.
