 You might have a point with the popularity issue however the true fact is Motorstorm only sold well because it came with PS3's as a bundle during preliminary sales. You might be forgetting that point.

Ain't that the truth? Did you see how much Sony pushed MGS4's launch? That was a shitload of hype. They pretty much sold it as MGS4 being the sole reason to buy a PS3, which is kinda true.

 Whoever said Motorstorm was trash? It's pretty ok to me. Motorstorm was only the PS3 game to get past the 4 M mark solely on bundled sales. Metal Gear Solid 4 is a 3rd party title and was pretty much sold as the only reason to buy a PS3. It saved the PS3 in its darkest hour.

The whole "There are no games so xxx will sell good" is a failed theory that was used constantly since the PS3 was released, I don't see why it would apply to this one game, that continued great sales every without being bundled (Selling around 15k weekly for months and months, bundle has been over since Spring).

 

PGR4 reviewed even better. Yet it tanked despite PGR3 sold millions. Because of increased competition and the previous game was a launch title. Launch titles always sell.

PG is a niche racer. The true Xbox 360 racer based on sales is Forza 2. You might be right that competition had something to do with it, however PGR sold well during the days of the original Xbox. These were days when people economically were willing for fork out more money. There are alot of factors.

Why cant any PS3 game other than GTA4 sell awesomely. MGS4 did good, but compared to Halo and a completely new IP Gears of War. It doesnt look good.

I remember last year I got COD4 before it released and there were plenty of people online. There couldn't have been that many people that got the game early. The point is maybe everyone that got the game is playing it online now. It happens with lots of new games.

PGR is a niche racer yet a fucking offroad racer isn't ? Give me a  break. PGR has much more mainstream appeal than Motorstorm. PGR3 sold much more than Forza 2. Until MS bundled Forza 2 and saved it's sales ass.

If it's true, it's a shame, this game deserve to sell at least 2M IMO, it's a great piece of fun, and it's really beautifull. I hope that my fellow europeans saved that game!
