MotorStorm was released when there were no good PS3 games except Resistance Fall of Man and, later, Oblivion. It had to do well. That's why Resistance did well as well.
Of course, I think Res 2 can keep very good sales due to the extremely good reviews (9.5 from IGN, don't tell me about metacritic, see my sig). Unfortunately, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift just isn't good enough to compete with the PS3's now-stellar line-up. |
Also, Resistance 2 is a very hyped game and is arguably the biggest PS3 exclusive this year.

It won't sell as well as MGS4. MGS4 had better reviews, and more hype.

Ain't that the truth? Did you see how much Sony pushed MGS4's launch? That was a shitload of hype. They pretty much sold it as MGS4 being the sole reason to buy a PS3, which is kinda true.

Whoever said Motorstorm was trash? It's pretty ok to me. Motorstorm was only the PS3 game to get past the 4 M mark solely on bundled sales. Metal Gear Solid 4 is a 3rd party title and was pretty much sold as the only reason to buy a PS3. It saved the PS3 in its darkest hour.
