I can tell you right now there wont be enough 360s... if Microsoft would have doubled the inventory to Walmart they would have probably have broke the 1 million unit mark easy in the US alone... and maybe Walmart would have one more employee not tthat they give a rats ass about their "assossiates"

I dont think that there will be a major shortage of 360, because everyone will be buying wiis, just joking. Microsoft isn't dumb enough to repeat the 2005 360 shortage fiasco. also i was at a local best buy, there were three piles of 360.
major shortage of 360, probably not.

thats current supply and in one area, at the oment we have no way of knowing how much of the inventory they pushed out ahead of black friday.... for all we know they could have shipped everything they had... or they could have shipped just an average weeks worth. im leaning more towards the former then the latter. so depending on monthly production, and what they stuffed they could run out, though if they do it most likely wont happen till very close to christmas... and then an after christmas shortage.... might cause issues like they suposedly had from feb... to may

Walmart works on an automatic order system... at the rate the Arcade bundle is selling we should be getting in 2 or 3 times as many, but because they don't have enough we are getting Pros to replace them... we get around 2-4 every truck and with 2 trucks comming in a night they still sell out the Arcades... there is a build up going of course... Walmart does like to try and mind fuck the common people with fake sales and such, but the majority of those systems sell. I expect that many of the other Walmarts do much better sales then us to they probably get a bigger share of the Arcade systems... a shame... mindless CPUs controlling the flow of gaming love... btw we didn't get any Wii's in... I don't know where the "Tens of Thousands" are, but none came to my store... haha the managers were pissed though
edit: I think the flow is pretty steady... though we are getting more Pros then we probably should... maybe MS didn't expect the large ammount of extra sales the Arcade would be doing and didn't make enough of them.

you know I actually met the man the coded most of walmarts inventory system, to hear him tell it walmart put it out there, and its replacement before they were ready, and they can not adapt to a short supply of a particular model in a line up, someone has to manually make the change. apparently since walmart implemented their system before the later versions they do not have the fully fleshed out tracking system they originally wanted and a lot of new stores had the technology to support the newer software built into them.
the newer tracking system depended on ridf, and not just pos systems. this is suposed to help better keep track of shipping movment times, and avoid system confusion when using sales skus and not normal skus for a system item, which sometimes leads to system confusion....
thats all i remember off the top of my head when talking with him
**man i used to work in reciving back in the day and if they had not jipped me on pay, i would have stayed there until i needed to do internships in college ..... hard work, but a great group of guys to work with... never forget the night our super almost got crushed by a double stack pallet of water that lost balance took 8 of us to keep it from killing his on the phone unaware ass
