what do you think the metacritic rating for resistance 2 will be at the end

well its at 88 so I would say around 89, MAYBE (big maybe) 90. Variety just gave it a 70 (whoever they are) which lowered it to an 88. It's weird, I clicked on their review, and didnt find a number at all, yea it was negative, but still, no number. Is Metacritic making up numbers?

'Variety' is a relatively new games reviewer metacritic have added.

They gave LittleBigPlanet it's lowest review score: an 80. (15 points below average)

And now Resistance 2 it's lowest score: a 70 (18 points below average)

Sheesh.

Then the gave Fable II a 9.8 (8 points above the average)

and Fallout 3 a 9.7 (4 points above average)

They've only given a few reviews, but already their reviews seem to deviate quite a bit from more mainstream media outlets.

Edit: They also don't apparently give scores on their site, instead their editor just tells metacritic the score.

Variety is a joke.

If a site has no score, they simply should not count.

Actually they person who runs variety gives the score to metacritic, but variety themselves seem fanboyish.

So is this wat 1up does with metacritic as well? They gave R2 a B+ and Metacritic has that as a 83 (5 points or so from what a B+ really is) and yet they gave Gears 2 an A and Metacritic has that as a 100. I don't think a logical person would think that there is a 17 point difference between a B+ and an A.

We are not 100% sure on what metacritic does with 1up, but they are  hated now by the ps3 fans so what does it matter. Oh and IGN is the site to go now.

I honestly miss the days when ps3 owners never cared about review scores.

I wouldn't be so quick to call Variety a joke.  I don't know about their reviews but they have some good stuff and some good sources.

Resistance 2 should end up somewhere between 87 to 91.

There scores are not an straight average, as some sites are weighted more than others. The 70% from Variety might not be contributing much to the overall score.
