Besides, it's not aboout having the will to try being more competitive but rather the means. And the PS3 has only games right now, since Blu Ray is a joke saleswise compared to dvd sales WW. Rather than laugh about MS cutting their prices, you would do better by praising them, at least one of the HD consoles got it right with the price (seriously, 600$ at the begining and 400$ now? Most people have better things to spend money on).

Also you should change your view on the Wii. It's not a small world that's the console resides in, it's more like a bigger new world roughly twice the size that the xbox and PS are in.

What are these "huge" numbers you talk of exactly? If you check since July the 360 has outsold the PS3. The 360 is almost into it's 4th year on the market and it is still beating the PS3 which is heading into its 3rd year. Sony are trying very hard but the problem is they didnt bank on the 360 being where it is. Even despite the fact the 360 had/has a awful reliability issue it is still beating the PS3. I think that says it all really.
