Im not biased against 360 or ps3 or something but i think "exclusive" means its on 1 plattform and not on 2.

 


On June 11, 2007, Take-Two Interactive, the sole publisher of Rockstar Games, re-confirmed the release of the PlayStation 3 version by listing it amongst its "announced to date" titles for "fiscal 2008" in a press release regarding the company's second quarter financial results.[5] However, during the shareholders conference-call, a spokesperson for Take Two inferred that both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 releases are likely and that "LA Noire is being developed for next-generation systems."[6]

On the Rockstar Games official web site, L.A. Noire has a release date that is "to be announced", regions that are "to be announced", and a platform that is "to be announced". This leads to more uncertainty on when it will come out, where it will come out, and if it is still a PS3 exclusive title.[8]

Been all quiet on the LA Noire front for a while now. So how's everything going? Well according to the president of the Game Developers' Association of Australia (LA Noire's in development at Team Bondi studios in Sydney), Tom Crago, everything's going just fine. He says the game has around "a year or so to go", then adds that it "could be the biggest budget videogame in development anywhere in the world. It would certainly... in terms of console titles, be in the top ten... LA Noire is a massive massive project". Never really had the game pegged as a BLOCKBUSTER before, but hey, if that's how Rockstar want to spend their cash, it's their cash! Finally, he also told attendees at Games Convention Asia that the game was coming to 360. Funny, since it's always been a PS3 exclusive. Then again, Crago's boss of the GDAA, not boss of Team Bondi, so we'll peg this last bit a rumour for now.

 

Can we remove this game. In all likelyhood, it's a multiplat. The last time it was concretely confirmed as a PS3 exclusive was in 2004.

I think you are confusing the surfer girl rumor as news. :P

Some sell better on 360 than PC. But there are alot of them that sell greater on PC, and PC gives a higher profit margin per copy than Xbox 360.

by the way, many people here saying that pc gives them no need for a 360, they should say that if they want to miss great titles like Gears of War 2, fable2, Halo3 and Star Ocean 4, or they can wait until some years after these great games finally find their ways to PC, or they should just simply say that these 360-exclusive games are all rubbish and not worth buying at all.

Gears of War came out a full year after the 360's release and worst of all, it was directly associated with GFW. It had all the signs for low sales.

As for COD4, I still keep defending that the PC version is doing better than Xbox 360's. Hell, I even believe it's doing better than both PS3/360 combined. COD4 PC is still seen in several PC Top10 charts, and is still selling like crack in Digital Distribution (currently 8th in Steam Topsellers) and hasn't even dropped price.

Unless you have al platforms, you will always lose good exclusives. The good thing about PC is that it has way more good exclusives than any other platform.

the sales of COD4 360 breaks the number of a whole year sales of COD4 PC in its first day after release.

I doubt the pc sales even reach a million by now but 360 version already got over 6 millions

that's why PC/360 games should be seen as 360-exclusive coz the majority buys the games for 360

North-American PC retail market is only 18% of PC's total Retail+DD market. NA's retail market is near-insignificant for PC.

If you count the entire PC market, the North-American PC retail would only represent a tiny 8.5% of the Total PC revenue.

PC games also keep selling for years, unlike consoles, and COD4 is still seen in several PC top charts. But if you don't believe me the see what Activion Blizzard just reported a few hour ago: "For the September quarter, Activision Blizzard had two of the top-five PC titles worldwide -- Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft: Battle Chest® and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, according to Charttrack, Gfk and The NPD Group.". That means COD4 is still one of the top selling PC games 12 months after it was released.

If 2008 was the year of the PS3, I certainly don't think it was because of games. The 360 had at least an equal library. In fact, I dont' think it was the year of anything, but the Wii.

As for things being huge, can you please explain the meaning of that for me? Is it being literal, because it seems like some Internet inside joke that I'm not getting. Nothing that was supposed to be HUGE has been huge so far....is it being sarcastic, or poking fun at some fanboy? Please respond.

Okay, so it didn't live up to fanboy expectations of 6 billion sold in the first week. It didn't even push hardware. Damn you, sackboy!

I am pretty certain that the HUGE part was a parody of the Sony forum in general. As for the rest... he's got a point. 2008 wasn't the year of the PS3, 2009 may be just in terms of quality. I am beginning to think it might be third in sales next year, without a price cut.

I think this thread fails on many fronts.. but one reason in particular.. ps3 and 360 threads should have been kept separate ... less trolling that way...and we have one person dedicated to each instead of both
