Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Seriously, you have to play Blue Dragon AND especially Lost Odyssey. I've had some good Squaresoft vibes playing those two games. The guy knows what he's doing! ;)

It almost feels like the sore performance of the ps3 has thrown the Japanese gaming environment into a state of confusion lol...not that S-E was better during the ps2 era than the ps1era but they were much more productive than this gen certainly.

I don't have a 360 but would get one eventually if all the JRPGs keep heading that direction. So far the 360 has the most but it still nowhere near as consistent as the ps2 or ps1 were. In the ps2 gen, there were months when it felt like nothing but JRPGs were released and they got their spotlight but it almost feels like with the 360, games like Gears 2 would always have that spotlight over any JRPG (excluding FF)

i would love another CHRONO game but it is never going to happen. i emailed square with some inquiries of another chrono game because in 2001 they reserved the rights for a game titled CHRONO BREAK, but they replied saying that the creator of the CHRONO series has left the company with some others. people that worked on the CHRONO series are all scattered throughout the company working on many different games. the only way they said they would make it is if they got everyone back, but alas that is not going to happen. that makes my heart hurt :(

Someone wrote the same thing about the person behind vagrant story leaving as well. It looks like square has experienced a real talent drain. I scared for the new ffs. An ff that sucks would mark the end of the square portion of S-E

Yes, but it is sad that for a company to make good games these days they need to remake games from 10 years ago.

 

S-E has gone down the shitter. Only bright spot lately IMO was TWEWY and hopefully The Last Remnant since it being made from the Ultra Amazing SaGa team.

Yeah, I miss the old Squaresoft, it's not that Squeenix has been a bad company, they realeased some good/great games (SO3, FFXII, TWEWY), but they don't have anymore the masterful quality and quantity they had in the PS era (FFVII, FFVIII, Tactics, Chrono Cross, etc.)

It's what you get when you merge with the company that makes Dragon Quest
