Some of them left you know. How about the team that created Mistwalker? I'm sure there are many more...

I guess you're right but whatever companies they work for now haven't been churning out gems either except I just missed them which is highly unlikely lol

 

Seriously, you have to play Blue Dragon AND especially Lost Odyssey. I've had some good Squaresoft vibes playing those two games. The guy knows what he's doing! ;)

I don't have a 360 but would get one eventually if all the JRPGs keep heading that direction. So far the 360 has the most but it still nowhere near as consistent as the ps2 or ps1 were. In the ps2 gen, there were months when it felt like nothing but JRPGs were released and they got their spotlight but it almost feels like with the 360, games like Gears 2 would always have that spotlight over any JRPG (excluding FF)
