Forums - Nintendo - Embarassed lifelong Nintendo fan admits he's getting bored with his Wii.

Personally I think it's a case of liking old game types. Wii doesn't get many of those unfortunetaly. It's too bad. Theres plenty of people like dougsdad that are being left behind by third parties. Yes I blame third parties more. Nintendo can't do everything and when your more focused on expanding the industry you can't be everywhere.

Evenentually the OP will get bored of the games he is used to. By then with both the PS4 and 720 will be the same as the Wii/Wii2 then he will have forgotten how much he is bored with the Wii.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

WHY ARE YOU CONSIDERING GETTING A 360 IF THE STUFF ON THE PS3 INTERESSTS YOU?

This,

90% of the games appear on both consoles. You'll miss a 360 exclusive here and there, but PSWii (or Wii60) is definitely a smarter combo than PS360. That is if indeed you are a Nintendo fan. If you already beaten all the core games for Wii then you are a serious gamer who definitely shouldn't sell his Wii, seeing all the great games that are certainly coming like Galaxy 2, new Wii Zelda, new Pikmin, Punch-Out, Sin & Punishment....

Good for you, sell your Wii to someone who appreciates good games - there's alot of people that want a Wii but struggle to get one.

Honestly. Why are you posting this here?

Can we make "I'm bored with/selling my XXX" threads bannable? Please?

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Good idea, except for the bannable statement maybe automatically delete thread perhaps?

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

As much as these threads annoy sometimes, we can't be thread nazis here.  The guy posted in a calm and non fanboy way, so he shouldn't get banned or his thread closed imo.  If he said "The Wii is a complete piece of crap" without reason, then maybe.  But he presented logical reasoning, so I say leave it.  This may be a sales site, but we can talk about other stuff.

True, but it seems like these threads pop up at least once every few days, and they all say pretty much the exact same thing.

I say sell the PS3 and get a 360. Its obvious that you are not totally satisfied with the PS3 or else you would have never thought about getting a 360. Do not sell the Wii, trust me, you will be itching to play it every now and then, plus its in your son's best interest as well.

Keep the Wii, SELL PS3, get a 360

You know what...I just got to ask...Whats is EVER the point in this type of thread? Be it for the PS3, XB360 or Wii? I never thought people would need grief counseling for video games. =/

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

I haven't played my Wii by myself (as in not including Mario Kart/Smash Bros/Boom Blox etc. sessions with friends) since about August...however that will all change when ToS:DotNW come out in a couple weeks.

Although I also own a PS3 and a 360...and a gaming PC...and I'm busy with University being my Senior year and all....maybe I should switch to 36 hour days.
