Well, I'm not sure but I think a drug is a substance that does something to your physiology. As previously stated, not all drugs are addictive (it's even called drug-store...) and not all things addictive are drugs.

Sex is a drug because it's addictive!

Look how wrong that statement is.

Most addictions are bad, making you less a part of the real world. World of Warcraft can be extremely bad. But it doesn't alter your physiology.

Does anyone even know what "figure of speech" is anymore?

I don't really know how to respond to this. I thought that World of Warcraft was generally accepted to be bad for people's social life, even dangerously addictive sometimes. So for me, that puts the entire question into the "not figure of speech" category.

I would say that "it's like a drug", not "it's a drug". But I guess if the difference isn't important to you, by all means, say it's a drug.

Boycotting the following:

1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.

2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.

3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.

4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games.  If that were the case they'd own a PS3.

5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.

6. Boycotts: Their so lame.

Wow some people these days. The J man is comparing the addictiveness of a drug to that of WoW. Of course its not a drug but in some ways it is. Thats why the J man asked the question , and its called figure of speech for a reason and thats what the J man used in his title. Calm down and stop taking things so literally because its not good for you.

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

yes

I wanted to try WoW, but I heard stories.
Besides, how uncool would I sound tellin the ladies I play WarCraft. I've been working too damn hard to ruin it all for WoW.

ROFL that is generalizing the tale of a few people.

Most people don't stop their social life because they play Wow..

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

No, the people who spend that much time playing the game would likely have spent it watching Tv had they not been playing WoW, I see it as an alternative to other time wasting activites (including other video games, TV, and the internet).

World of Warcrack, need I say anymore.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

I'd say it varies. Some people get really into it. Personally I know someone who is addicted to it, and he plays like all day. I used to play for 2 years, but I quit like 8 months ago.
