Anyway to answer the OP, Siren was very scary and stressful especially when you play the child. You cannot fight back or anything, as soon as a zombie sees you, you have to run like hell and hide or it's game over.

Technically speaking, the PC generatoin has not ended yet. Can I pop in AVP2 cd and play through it again with no hassle? Yes I can. Or if you want to have it your way, FEAR came out before even the 360 was on the market but it's still there. I know it had ports, but any game from the past can be ported on these consoles.

Interesting. Can't argue with Condemned. That game scared the bejeebus out of me and I don't scare easily.

No, it was ranked at number seven. I am delighted to see Dead Space and Condemned:Criminal Origins listed.

i find it interesting that they said  Siren is scarier than both bioshock and dead space,,,who has played siren?is it really that scary?

Siren = underrated, underappreciated.  Siren is one of the most moody and disparing games on the market.  In game like Silent Hill, you come up against bizarre creatures, but in Siren the shibito (zombies) are such a perversion of humanity.  Also, there are 50 archives to collect which helps flesh out the events in Siren, but some of the bizarreness of those archives really gets into your head as if you're doing personal research on the subject.  And all the characters are normal people caught in the web of an ancient occult.  There is not one shred of joy in this game.

Condemned at 1st place first definitely. Oh god I will never play it again, I'm still scared to death

And I can play Resident Evil 1 on my PS3 so what? Does it mean consoles don't have a generation either?

Yeah I actually agree with that list, funny that I have or have played almost all of those games. I never thought of myself as a horror gamer. Im currently playing Dead space.

I haven't played them all but Condemned is a pretty scary game. It's an early title but still worth checking out for the $10 or so it goes for now.

EDIT: This was in the article for those wondering why some games aren't there...

So, without further ado... the list. The criteria for games selected was that they must have been released for the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, or Wii between October 2005 and today.
