Ps3 is going to catch up fast, but the only million sellers it has so far is motorstorm and resistance.

360 actually stands at 20. GRAW1 is listed twice; another naming snafu.

First of all, people seem to be missing tons of multiplatform games. I'm not sure if I've seen Guitar Hero III, GTAIV, Assassin's Creed or Need for Speed mentioned at all...? How about Rock Band? I hope I just missed them.


360 will probably add at least 10 games to the list by year end. The surefires are Madden, GHIII, GTAIV, Halo 3, COD4, NfS, and probably Splinter Cell (is this a 2007 title?) Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, Rock Band, FIFA and others could all reach the mark too. Blue Dragon and BioShock? I wouldn't hold my breath...


Wii will add a similar number to 360 by December 31, I think, but will likely have the most eventual million sellers from 2007. I see games like BBA, Pokemon Battle, DQ:S and RRR2 hitting 1 million in the long term, for example, and games like BWii and others could surprise. Stuff like Nights, Soul Calibur and Boogie I wouldn't hold my breath for.

The big question is if the multi-plats will move 1 million on Wii this year. Madden, Need For Speed, FIFA and Guitar Hero III ought to all be million sellers on a leading console in its second year, and for Wii, Tiger Woods should be added to that list.

Mario and Smash will obviously be mega-hits, but Metroid, Mario&Sonic, WiiFit & MySims all have potential to sell loads in 2007. Strikers ought to pass 1 million by year end too.


PS3 will have very few million sellers even by year end. They better hope Madden and Need for Speed can move 1 million; they combined for over 40 million sales on PS2. Motorstorm will reach well past 1 million via pack-in. GTA of course. Lair. And... What exactly? Some of the big multi-plats like GHIII could reach, and Warhawk and a few others in the long term, but the install base will still be less than half of Wii's and 360s on Jan 1. There will probably still only be a handful of million sellers.

Have you forgotten resistance on the ps3? Also cod4 might hit 1 million on the ps3. So Id up the number to 8.

You're insane if you don't expect Metroid Prime 3 to hit 1 million in 2007. Red Steel hit 1 million in 7 months of release... Also Super Paper Mario hit 1 million a while ago.

I'm counting up to 21 Wii games hitting 1 million sales this year. 5 certainly will, 10-12 probably will. My GUESS is that the 360 and Wii will gain about the same amount of million sellers (around 10) while the PS3 gains 3 or 4.

my wii predictions (sorry its all I have and the only console I feel I know enough about to judge). In order of most likely to sell a million to least likely to sell a million

1. Mario Galaxy
2. SSBB
3. Metroid Prime 3
4. Mario and Sonic
5. WiiFit (would definitely be 1 if there was a confirmed US release date, all the 07 hopes for this baby are on the japanese)

(how people discount the last three blows my mind. if RedSteel, WiiSports, and MP8 could do it these definitely will)
6. GH3 (if its the cheapest version)
7. Strikers (will benefit by being released in the slower summer months)
8. Madden 08 (here down is speculation, but has any Madden game ever sold million plus on Nintendo hardware?
9. BWii (hurt by release date...possible midway into 08 to hit it)
10.Manhunt 2 (has VERY little competition on the system, based on RE4's sales I expect it to do well.)
11. Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
12. RE:UC (if its any good it should make it, though the fact that Capcom only expects 600,000 scares me)
13. DQ:S (this one probably has pretty good odds but its all about Japan)
14. No More Heroes (it has to be a breakout hit, but based on RE4 sales it proves mature games do sell on the wii. This baby needs advertising)
16. Carnival Games (if these hardcore games don't sell expect this one will)

Resistance already sold 1m ww, so it doesn't count, but I will cede CoD4.  I'll edit my post.

Pokemon Battle Revolution is over 500,000 and Resident Evil 4 is probably close too (we don't have Euro figures yet). I'm sure both of those titles will hit 1 million eventually, although it may not be this year.

Big Brain Academy has an outside shot as well. It has shown decent legs.
