Agreed. Oblivion was why I purchased a 360.

It'll be hard to tell if any game for the Wii moves consoles because the Wii just has lows and highs all year round (lows are still huge numbers), Wii just sells too much that when a game like Animal Crossing comes out, you won't know if it actually moves consoles or not.
Maybe if Wii sells like 400k when animal crossing comes out we can really tell...
I don't think you'll see any increases due to animal crossing, since sales are more closely linked to supply, at least in the Americas.

I was like "Hey 89,663, how's tricks?"
and it was like "not bad Stats, but i gotta say, your new haircut is looking pretty good, it suits you well"
and I was like "Oh 89,663..."

Hmmm, if we could swap last week with this week then these would be great predictions from me
150,000 | vg$ 50 | 0 | 0% | |
215,000 | vg$ 30 | 0 | 0% | |
70,000 | vg$ 50 | 0 | 0% | |
56,000 | vg$ 50 | 0 | 0% | |
56,000 | vg$ 100 | 0 | 0% |
As it is though I was miserably low on the 3 home consoles ... pretty good for the handhelds though.

Right now, the HD consoles have sold to (roughly) 20% the total hardware sales of the previous generation and many (if not most) of the big games released for these consoles is selling at a similar level to what it sold in the previous generation. If you make the assumption that most gamers who own a PS3 or XBox 360 owned a previous generation console, and their game buying habits in this generation are similar to their buying habits in the previous generation, you have to start to wonder if they're hitting the limits of the "Core" gamers that they so heavily targeted. |
I often wonder about this as well. If most of these users will not buy both consoles, it puts the PS3 in a bad position. Aren't the extra 360 sales Microsoft makes by cutting prices slowly eating away at the PS3's longterm hardware sales? I think an early saturation with the old core gamers would make it more likely for the 360 to hold onto its hardware lead, since the PS3's later years would suffer.
It's hard to say, really.
