What is it that keeps you from buying MGS4? The trailer looks incredible, it has a Gamespot and IGN 10/10, an IGN UK 9.9/10 and an IGN AU 9.5/10, a metascore of 94 and ONLINE!

It's somewhat creepy that more PS3 owners currently own an average racer (MotorStorm) than one of the best games of this gen (MGS4)

I'm not expecting everybody with a PS3 to own it, but is half the audience really that far fetched? 7 million people?

So again, for people who don't own it, what keeps you from buying MGS4?

The game is supposed to be very story driven, and I've never played any of the other Metal Gear games. Also, to be honest, MGS4 just doesn't look like my cup of tea. I'm not saying it's a bad game, it's just not my type of game.

I've play a MGS game before, knew exactly what it would be and how long it would take me to beat it. I rented it, beat it over the weekend and if I owned if I'd be out 55 bucks right now because I most likely wouldn't be playing it again for a year or two and by then I can pick it up on the cheap.

The Metal Gear Solid franchise caters to a very specific audience. It is not casual friendly.

The same thing that keeps 114 mln of PS2 owners from having MGS2.

I also wonder why So many Wii owners dont have Zelda:Twilight Princess

Maybe some are too young to play or buy the game.

This game is very far from being for everyone... not many people love long cutscenes, discussions, not being able to shoot everyone up easily... MGS is an acquired taste.

maybe they are not in to MGS series? i mean we are talking about 12 million unique ps3 owners who might not care about reviews or don't even read reviews or game news, like my cousin, he bought PS3 for PES series and few sport games he does not play anything else.
