Honestly, people claiming that everyone is racist is technically accurate to a degree, but by standard definitions is utterly wrong.

People make choices with whatever information they have, and most people do not have time to get chummy with someone from every race on a personal basis, so when we are in a situation where we are dealing with someone ANYONE, we will make our initial guesses as to their character based on other people with similar appearances. Why? BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT WE USE. Human's are something like 90% sight based for identification and analysis purposes. So yes, we will judge people based on their skin color and appearance.
Now what about the standard take on racism? well, when you're just meeting an individual for the first time, initial impression will of course be taken from what is known of the group they seem most similar to. If there is no personal experience with this group, they will use 2nd hand experience, either news, media, or from those you already know.

So yeah, technically everyone is racist, it's a survival mechanism, but hardly anybody anymore is actually "racist" in the classic sense of the term.

Anyways, yes I am racist without a doubt. The thing is, with me, it's against my own race -- African-Americans.

i too have a problem with black people, i'm an haitien and i don't speak creol so growing up i was always an outcast from my fellow haitien classmate so i ended up hanging a lot with asian, arab and african.

Make that the 3rd win.

I don't know if I'm racist, but I wouldn't board a plane with a middle-eastern person.

Or if I'm walking down the street and see a black guy, thuggish looking walking down the same street, I may cross the street, or whisper a silent prayer.

Well i'm not like really racist. Sure I just crack the odd racist joke and whatever, but i really don't mind other races. I'm actually quite good friends with a kid from India (that wears a turban), and i have a couple black friends, etc.
