I've always been interested in what the general gaming public ranks as their best Zelda games. I think mine is quite different from popular opinion, but you can prove me wrong. If you care, you can state the reason for your #1.

MM, because it was such a well executed refreshing change. I didn't think the idea of going back to the beginning every 3 days would have worked but I found it did. The time factor and solving puzzles based on that was great. The dungeons were also like true Zelda standards, unlike Wind Waker (IMHFO).

I also like Twilight Princess, but is not in my top 5. But, Midna is one of my favorites Zelda characters.

Captain Linebeck is one of the best characters ever in the Zelda universe.

1) Majoras Mask- Goron with green hat=win
2) Ocarina of Time- just plain goodness
3) Links Awakening- I poisoned the earth from how many batteries I threw away
4) Wind Waker- Every year I gain more respect out of this title
5) Zelda ll- yeah this games better than people give it credit.

ps: I've never played the oracles though (Phillip games either though i think its for the best)

I was a taken aback when they showed Midna's true form

and well yea Cpt. Linebeck, a bit cliched his character was, but cool nonetheless.

@WW - I thoroughly enjoyed the art & fighting style here but there's just too many parts of the game that I thought just dragged on.....the sailing was a bit tedious, having to play the requiem song a good bit of the time to go opposite direction, and also when u get the spoils, do i have to read that bit of literature all the dam time? can't i just skip it??Also, the dungeons were extremely simplified.

@ Zelda 2 - Oh yea, that game was greater than most ppl might think, just edged out my top 5.

In fact, many Zelda games just edged out my top 5.
