Can't wait

I think Puyo Puyo! may be a "surprise" hit on the Wii. It's a fairly popular puzzle game series that's been around since 1991. Toss in some Wii controls and it should make for some interesting numbers.

I think this week is going to be a battle between Hotshotsf 5 and Mario Party 8. Hotshots has history on it's side, but considering how well the Mario Party games did on the Gamecube considering it's base in Japan, and considering just how much MP8 is suited for the Wii, and how well it's done in NA, I honestly wouldn't be suprised to see Mario Party outsell Hotshots. 

well looking at the past Mario Party games the N64 ones sold about 200-250k on week 1, and the first gamecube one sold 200k and the future ones have gone down since. You could say that the series has lost popularity, but I would say that it is just because the gamecube did pretty badly in Japan. There are some strange things with the sales in Mario Party, having huge legs and selling at high numbers like 100k in weeks like 10 and 11 (sometimes bigger than week 1 sales). This is a tough one to predict.

I really dont know how to predict anything for that week honestly. We wont get those games numbers until the Media Create after the next BTW. Mario Party could do well, but it has been on a decline, can it rebound? Who knows. MNG could do fantastic, or it could follow Ridge Racer Tekken and Gundam, who knows? Oblivion early words said better than Trust Bell right? I mean, who knows. Im not going anywhere near Prediction league on those games. Make my average even worse than it already is.

Mario Party 8: 200k
Gundam: 174k
Hot Shots Golf 5: 100k
Elder Scrolls: 38k
Guilty Gear: 20k
Dewey's Adv: 20k

wow, gundam way too high, and hot shots way too low buddy.

Honestly. I dunno what MP can do in Japan. I mean, in USA it is right now a monster. 340K sales 1st week...I mean, only Zelda had a 1st week so big.

I think MP8 will beat EG5 by a good chunk. Lets say, 200k vs 120k.

The Gundam isn`t supposed to be good I think...maybe 50-70k?

Dewy and Guilty, sadly bad moment to be released. 30K-15K.

Oblivion...cmon Mr.Stickball, its Japan...don`t get your hopes up. 40k tops.

Everyone is forgetting about Its a Wonderful World, arguably, the best game Japanese oriented game of the whole bunch.

It is made by SE, and has a pretty quirky style, so I`ll give it 100k.

Sony has got a huge marketing campaign for EG5, from what i hear it is much bigger than the one for DQS. If this game sells 120k as you say it's gonna be quite bad.

They had a pretty big ad campaign for Gundam Musou as well for all the good it did. There was a bump in sales, but the game underperformed developer expectations considerably.
