Eternal Sonata on PS3 in February

Atari has revealed that Eternal Sonata, the Japanese role-playing game, will be available in Europe for the PlayStation 3 in February 2009.

The European version will have new quests, a 'revitalised' story, new costumes and more playable characters.

Eternal Sonata has been out on the Xbox 360 since October 2007, so PS3 users will have been champing at the bit to get their hands on it for some time now.

For those who are unaware of the game, it takes place in the "fantasy world envisaged by composer Frederic Chopin during the last three hours of his life."

With a soundtrack performed by Stanislav Bunin, the game features a "combination of hybrid turn-based and action RPG" combat.

ToV might be region locked.

Yeah unfortunately it is. NTSC/NTSC-J only

The bigger deal is Tales of Vesperia not having a release date in Europe versus the vastly inferior Eternal Sonata.

But hey, at least EU gets a PS3 JRPG. It'll be one of the very rare few.

most 360 games are region locked so namco doesn't = fail

Same with Wii....so TOS DOTNW will also be region locked for me.

Thats where PS3 succeeds BIG TIME! imo...atleast convinience wise.

especially if your stupid like me and your contemplating importing FF7:ACC for the FF13 demo

Usually Blu-Ray movies are region locked - so wouldn't the demo be as well?

thats where the catch is....S-E was smart enough to make sure the demo is on a seperate disc

so basically FF7:ACC will have 2 discs....1 for the movie....1 for the FF13 demo + FF VErsus 13 videos
