The DS lite hardware numbers are frightening, almost double the Ps2's best year.

The DS is a monster, it has the most hardware and the most software sold in a single year.

actually the ps2 its above wii in japan for first years even with shortages.

360 is a sad sad story.

DS and psp are monsters !!! :D

Basically DS shows everything else up.... Although PSP does really well too.

@Jo.... Remember to consider the release dates... PS2 released in March, Wii in December. (And these numbers seem to follow calender years)

i was talking about 2007 it highest peak til now, its abit over year ps2 1 and year 2 ps2 abit less.

2008 wii is decreasing sales so i don't think it will match it.

Every computer this year is down on last years number up to this point apart from

x360 and the PSP.

with the PSP being the best selling gaming device so far this year in japan and selling more then 1mill extra then this point last year.

Well dont microsoft and Sony but saying that the DS  has had the largest drop out of all the gaming devices droping by a few million from the same point last year.

The Wii is down by like half a mill

ps3 is down by around 40-50K. I think this is good being as it has "No Japanese  games"

Ps2 down by like 300K but hey its getting old.

Since quite some time. Have you ever heard of this sales number tracking website called VGChartz? According to them the Wii is about 300-400k units lower in 2008 than in 2007 at the same point.

I think he's in denial...
