1. PS2 = 140 million consoles sold so far and still selling.

2. Nintendo DS = 82 million portables and selling strong, DSi soon to be launched.

3. Wii = 33 million consoles sold so far, it is the fastest selling console in history.

So which gaming device: console or portable will be the winner and take all?

More like ''Supernova82's Poll of the week.'' I have to go with the Nintendo DS, especially if the DSi is counted.

Nintendo DS should I think... followed closely by Wii then PS2.

Somewhere around 160-170mil for DS, 155-165 for Wii, and 145-155 for PS2.


Oh, and you are wrong... the PS2 has not sold 140 million. it has only "shipped" 133 million, and that includes replacement units (ie for broken consoles... ones never sent to retail)

It's hard to be sure, but the actual sold figure is somewhere between what VGC shows (just over 120 million) and about 5 mil more than that (125 million)

3. PS2

i dont think the wii have good enough legs to sell as much as the ps2. the ps2 is still selling NOW! and its selling at good steady levels.

Im not certain that the Wii will manage to beat the PS2, tough its pretty plausable... still Il go with the DS as a safe bet ;)

I think many people will feel safe predicting that when the dust has settled the DS will have taken the number one spot.
It's the number two spot that is the "nail biter".
