Wii to drop to £150 as price war heats up
MCV sources have revealed that Sainsburys are set to aggressively cut the price of Wii and 360 hardware.

As of tomorrow morning, the supermarket chain will reportedly cut the Nintendo Wii from £179.97 to £149.97, whilst the Xbox 360 Arcade is to be dropped from £129.97 to £99.97. The Xbox 360 60GB is also going to be reduced from £169.97 to £139.97.

The deals are set to run between October 3rd and October 12th.
This promotion follows in the footsteps of Morrison’s half-price chart game offer last month, and coincides with the release of FIFA ’09, which has been cut in price at Tesco and Asda.

The supermarkets always go crazy with price wars nowadays. Before it was small with the Harry Potter books (as low as 4 pounds), but now its quite big cuts. Sainsbury is the store feeling the most heat now, its lost a lot of popularity over the past few years as Tesco and ASDA get even stronger.

Apparently the Wii is set to be cut to 150 as well.

Consoles Owned: XBOX 360, Wii, DS and PSP.

Check out my game about moles ^

so it's not an official pricedrop, just this 1 store is doing it right.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Well probably they want bigger shipments for xmas, using the new price cut as way to prove they can move hardware... but why not a PS3 cut too?

That is amazing! If I had not got mine quite recently, this is the time to get one, and I would be buying one, that is a fantastic price

What about the Playstation 3 computer Entertainment system??

but anyways....I'd like to add....NO-ONE buys games from Sainsbury's!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

If Sainsbury's still can't get sales with prices like that something is wrong.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Those things are usually to get more customers in the store, they probably have a very limited number of consoles to sell.
