Nice sales for the 360...

The 360 price cut is having an impact on sales. X360 sales have spiked in all regions. Good to see the X360 competitive in all regions with much improved sales numbers in all regions.

360 price decreases. Demand of 360 increases. All price cuts increase demand.

OT: Great sales for 360. If only M$ had stocked Japan fully again they may have outsold PS3 by 70-80,000 this week WW. However I'm predicting 60,000 WW over PS3. Something like

360 = 177,000

PS3 = 117,000

I update my pc each 3 or 4 years and I´m able to play praticaly any game in it. As for the new iterations of Fable , Gears, etc. My will to play them is not so big as to buy a system only for that. I live in Brazil. A x360 is $730 here and the games are $120. I bougth the ps3 while on a trip in the US, so it was uber cheap for me. My point is, if I already have a pc ready for games ( and no, you don´t need to update each 6 months, I don´t), I can wait to the good x360 to reach this plataform while I play ps3 and other pc games. Fable was released for pc Before it was for Xbox

Gears reached the pc 1 year after the x360 launched.
For me is not worth it. For other people the same can be true. So the fact is your statements are in matter of fact opinions and may change according to the reality of the reader.

Looks like it sold the best in the UK @ 24,568. The week prior to this it was at 11,289 in the UK. A really nice jump!

By the way spidey, wich sku you bougth? Of course you can buy one for $200(+fan+joystick+LIVE+wifi), but if you have the money, a Elite is a better purchase. The Arcade is for those who wanna get a feeling of the x360 but don´t want to spent too much. The Arcade feels to me like those car selling very cheap, but without air cond.+ hidraulic wheel+ radio+ automatic gear. So when you put that on, the car becomes just as expensive as tha luxury car you despise because it was too expensive. The $399 sku is the one that offers almost as much as the 80 gb(with Bc, a dying breed I know), but you still need a $20 cooler and Live(the great advantage you claim the x360 has, so is mandatory). When you look that way is not so cheap, is it? But again, we come down to opinion. You think it´s worth it, you get it. We never gonna prove to each other wich one is the best, because of that. We can only do what we´re already doing : discuss sales.

A computer that can support those kind of games cost a hell of a lot more then a 360. SO its not my opinion its a fact =).

Actually Fable came out first for the XBox. Fable: The Lost Chapters was released for PC a year later and added some extra content. That extra content was then again re-released for the Xbox. Fable was exclusive to the XBox for one year before it was brought over to the PC.

Also, the Arcade is the same as the Elite in every way except the elite has a 120gb hard disk, includes an HDMI cable, and includes Component cables. All these items can easily be upgraded on the Arcade unit.

OT: This whole thing is ridiculous. This is so reminiscent of when the PS3 first started outselling the 360. The PS3 boys were all excited and talking smack for their 2 week victory. The 360 boys were talking smack that it had only been a couple weeks and it was soon to fall in sales. It's exactly the same except the roles are reversed.
