Wii is a New-Gen.

This word "generation"... I do not think it means what you think it means.
This is a fail topic right. I mean I don't need to say it... it's understood hopefully haha.
Anyways of course wii isn't next gen. It's part of the 7th generation of consoles which last I checked is the current generation haha. Sucks that this guy can be right for being so wrong haha.
Why everyone saying Wii is next gen, it isnt next its NEW GEN! Even Reggie says it on E3 06 conference cant you understand that?!!
end of core gaming days prediction:
E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced
E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
E3 2010- Tape runs out

EXACTLY!!!
And you know what else?
Sega says Sonic is the fastest thing alive. Even though Flash is statiscally faster, SONIC wins be default
because SEGA says so.
4 ≈ One
What an Easy question.
Q: Why Wii is not Next-Gen?
A: It is current gen.
The thing I love is how people refer to the PS3 and 360 and being next gen, and refer to the PS2 and sometimes Wii being last gen. what the hell is current gen then.
So, if the Wii is not Next-Gen and the PS360 are... it means my spanking new Radeon 4850 comes from 2010?
I'd also like to note you're forgetting several important factors, like pixel pipelines and memory latency FSB speed that can improve end results dramatically even without a dramatic increase in processing speed.
A 400Mhz GPU Processor with 20 parallel processing pipelines will often be better than a 500Mhz one with 10
Edit: My point isn't so much to prove that Wii is 'next gen' especially considering it's current gen, like the others. It's more to prove that while most people only think of the processors speed is far from the only factor and while Wii may be similar to processor speed specs to the original xbox it could even still be superior.
Edit 2: Also keep in mind my explanation is overly simplistic on purpose, I really need to have the drive to explain in detail.

In a sentence.
Your system is as fast as the weakest link.
