Forums - Nintendo - Big Fat Gabe : we have absolutely zero Wii games in development

Man why so much negativity here... the guy has some good views... he's 100% right when he said everyone rushed to develop for Wii and because of that the quality has suffered. I think Valve could make some great games for Wii if they get the chance in the future, but for right now I'll stick to the blatant Half-Life clone The Conduit. =) And hey if it does well maybe EA will give them some incentive to make a Valve game on Wii.

He makes some solid points and calls out the shovelware producers. Get a few more devs vocal and calling out the crappy devs for making Wii shovelware, and you'll have a nice future for the Wii library instead of a bunch of unfiltered garbage

At least we know which company will be developing for the Wii 2. :)

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Valve games belong on PC, Gabe Newell is still a turd sandwich though.

Valve has yet to make a game which has not been perfect so if they do start making Wii stuff I doubt it will be the shovelware we've seen so far from the usual 3rd parties. Original Half-Life with MP3:C controls on the Wii sounds lovely, I won't buy it since the PC version of shooters is always better than the console version, but still a nice step forward for the more hardcore crowd who doesn't have it on PC.

To the PS3 fanboys boycotting Valve: I doubt they really give a damn about you. They are making enough money from their customers as it is, so the only losers are you, not them.

vlad321, were not loosing anything,b we have plenty of games upcoming. on topic though he is right in tht ppl didnt expect wii to do so well, even with limitations if worked on properly i belive wii cud churn out a good shooter from valve. a wimote half life cud be a good game, but will wii owners want to play games like that?

Stop pretending there isn't an audience for those games on the Wii. Even Medal of Honor Heroes sold a few hundred thousand, and that barely had any hype.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
