I still see GOW2 to be better than R2 but who knows it might be better.

R2 will be "bigger, better, and more badass" than GeOW 2

....IDK man...it's looking kinda close (TO ME).

Yeah, but we haven't played any of the games yet. Who knows what the final products will be.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Could you please define the word "biggest" as you see it? Do you mean "best"?

Yes.. One of the best games of the year, according to IGN.

Should take it as a grain of salt, they have been wrong before.

Yeah, it'd have to be pretty good to compete with GTAIV and MGS4.

Hmmmm.... well I must say.... Guerilla has done an awesome job. They got me to like Killzone 2 more than Resistance 2 so far. Sadly Resistance still looks impressive. I might just pick up both...

4 ≈ One

On a tangent, maybe they should have just moved the bars as to what constitutes a 10, instead of saying the game was better than a 10.

We also need to keep in mind that there are some fanboys at IGN that buff their reviews. Not the majority, but a few of them, and that generally tends to end up one reason why some of the IGN scores are higher than usual.

Nothing against MGS4. It's a 9.5/10, but I think MGS3 was just as good(lol, I loved both games, actually) and I think MGS1 is the best game in the series, and deserves a 10. That said, since I give it a 9.5 I can definitely see how others could give it a 10, because I give a good 2 points one way or another from one of my reviews, because of personal opinion.

Tangent 2: I find that for games to achieve AAA on meta or gamerankings in the modern day, they have to be accompanied by a certain amount of hype. There are several reviewers who get off on giving controversial reviews, and who just have weird tastes. The gaming mags, in particular, are quite unreliable. Hype serves the purpose of letting them know what they are supposed to think about a game. Hyped games get them talking and reading other reviews of the game, and get them in a uniform opinion of the game. Unhyped titles, you're gonna have opinions all over the place, no matter how good the game is, there's always gonna be one reviewer who didn't know that he's supposed to love it, and gets some little pet peeve in his brain that doesn't let him have fun(maybe it's something in his personal life that sours his gaming experience) and without the hype to guide him, he flames the game.

Hype puts fear in a reviewers mind. They know if they review the game wrong, or bad, and they're the only one, then they will get flamed, roasted, and discredited. All reviewers care about that. Unhyped games, they can review however the hell they want. For instance, I bet Xplay regrets giving Core Crysis a 2/5 everyday, and that game wasn't even hyped near the level of a Gears 2, and it's ilk. Hype can also work against you, like with Too Human, when reviewers were hesitant to give the game a good review, because it was so universally scorned(and with good reason).

So yeah, very underground, niche games, no matter how good they are, are never gonna get the same treatment from reviewers, and that affects score, on aggregate review sites. That is why it's best to choose several sites that you trust and read their opinons, then decide for yourself. Ignoring numerical reviews can only help your gaming library.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

resistance 2 will be the best PS3 game of the year and sell more than little big planet

QUOTE ME ON THAT

It looks like that it haves everything to become one of the greatest games of this year.

@Zenfolder - I will speak for myself when I say I am genuinely surprised with the graphics shown in the latest round of R2 media. I was concerned with the quality of the graphics prior to this latest media blitz, but the game is definately starting to shine in my opionion.

I am definately looking forward to the co-op.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.
