Yea seriously,

At least when it comes to Doom 3 and Far Cry (two games on that list which I've played), they suck compared to Half-Life 2. This isn't about graphics either, but the overall package. If I have to download a flashlight mod to actually play Doom 3, then it's not worth it. With Far Cry, from the very first dialog in the game, I couldn't play it with a seroius face ever again.

Also, I think the Half-Life games are the few (if only) FPS games that I've played that does the 'you are that character' well.

I finished yesterday HL2 on the 360 and it's still awesome (finished PC version twice long time before).

Best shooter of all time ??? YES (at least until HL3 ;) )

Perhaps Valve should start hiring... They're always talking about the fact that they don't have enough manpower.

kz2 = good , half life 2 = crap? Yeah, youre not biased at all. I didn't like hl2 either, but it is decent fps. Far Cry & Doom 3 really sucked when compared to hl2. However original unreal tournament was a bit better than hl2. :)

Awesome. I hope I led you to an awesome gaming experience. Stick with it, lol, the episodes after the original game are even better, the pacing of the whole game is great, and while it takes its time to get good, sticking with it is very, very rewarding.

 I suppose they could try that but then they would have to pay these new employees and that would cut into their profit. There is no point in releasing games on any system unless it can turn a profit. Valve clearly thinks the cost of having a PS3 team would not be beneficial to the company so they probably shouldn't hire them right now. Later down the line it might change.

 dude when will you get, ive said this quite a few times already, that those awards mean nothing to me. infact, i stated this already as well, thats probably the reason i did not think the game was all that great. i played the game knowing that it recieved all these awesome awards and went in expecting this game to be awesome, which is why i dont do that anymore, and it let me down big time.

i have already shown you a couple games i liked more than hl2 during that time period, which i thought was the only way i could compare the game. and i never said all valve games are crap. what i said was there were OK and decent, because means not my cup of tea.

and honestly read some of the interviews and such from earlier this year and you'll see the douche within them

When? When you get that nobody cares about your opinion! It is important for you and nobody else. If 80%-90% of 1000 people said that they don't like one game this mean that it is not that good. If 2%-3% said so, then nobody cares about their opinion. That is why there are sites like www.gamerankings.com and www.metacritics.com - to sum the critics scores and sites like www.vgchartz.com - to sum the sales of games, cos those are the two only ways to compare two games of same genre. Everything else is invalid at the moment. There is nothing bad to like a game that have low scores and low sales, or not to like a game with high scores and high sales, but this is not a reason to call a company "bunch of nerdy douchebags" or a great game "OK at best" where nobody ask for your opinion!
