At least when it comes to Doom 3 and Far Cry (two games on that list which I've played), they suck compared to Half-Life 2. This isn't about graphics either, but the overall package. If I have to download a flashlight mod to actually play Doom 3, then it's not worth it. With Far Cry, from the very first dialog in the game, I couldn't play it with a seroius face ever again.

Also, I think the Half-Life games are the few (if only) FPS games that I've played that does the 'you are that character' well.

kz2 = good , half life 2 = crap? Yeah, youre not biased at all. I didn't like hl2 either, but it is decent fps. Far Cry & Doom 3 really sucked when compared to hl2. However original unreal tournament was a bit better than hl2. :)
