Forums - Nintendo - Mrstickball buys DS: Reccomend some games.

In terms of JRPG's you already have quite a good list there. I'd also suggest Lunar Knights though. It doesn't get much recognition, but I thought it was fairly enjoyable.

Some other games that I thoroughly enjoy(ed) outside of the genre are:
- Elite Beat Agents: pure fun, great for playing in small intervals, without a doubt of my favourite games this generation
- Professor Layton: Great game and a much welcome change of pace from the usual game
- Hotel Dusk: similar reasons to Prof Layton
- Zelda: Phantom Hourglass: I haven't enjoyed a Zelda game this much in a very long time. I thought the controls made very great use of the stylus.

i bought a ds for my 6 yer old son for his birthday, it was £129 with carry case etc, and cars and dogs 2, im not impressed

i can honestly say i cannot recomend any ds games that are playable out of the normal shelf titles.

you may as well start of with the usual suspect games, ie a mario a zelda etc there always good.

the sims games and similar are ok, obviously there are a good few rpg that are worth getting ff and dq.

there is a budget title that comes with a pack of cards its just called majic, its quite a laugh

the hotel dusk games are also very very good.

bubble bobble is also very good.

dont buy any driving games apart from mario kart, and unless you want to chuck ur ds out the window never buy burnout.

and keep away from rub rabbits, its ultra frustrating.

if you need any further help, just ask. theres lots of users on here that will help you achieve your gaming goals

Well, I can only recommend you games that I already got. And most of them are in the posts above here.

1. The world ends with you
2. Phoenix wright
3. Elite Beat Agents
4. Meteos

in that order.

Advance wars was really boring for me though. So was Mario Kart. :(

EDIT: Sorry, I know that this doesn't really help you. Oh, and you NEED to get The world ends with you if you are even slightly interested in JRPG's

That being Project Rub/Feel the Magic XX/XY? If so, I completely disagree as it can usually be found on a budget ($10 in America I'm guessing as it is $20 here) and is one of the best minigame collections I have ever played.

Get Advance Wars Dual Strike. One of the best games ever made and the best game of DS in my opinion. Make sure you don't mistakenly buy the sequal Advance Wars Dark Conflict (or Days of Ruin as it's called in Europe) as it's a rubbish game.

If you like SRPG's Disgaea DS releases today.

4 ≈ One

For those that travel: There's a vendor called Imation (give or take the spelling). They had quite the selection of DS and PSP carts. Not the greatest, but better than general retailers. They had most every Square Enix title available, and most of the "big name" titles out there....Cheap too.

They have retailers all over various airports, which is good as my DS saved my from crying kids on my 4hr flight cross-country.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

If you like action games I recommend Ninja Gaiden DS
