I fail to see how this is a big deal. I'm surprised they let you redownload it at all....

Too bad you can transfer it somewhere else, unlike the 360. Oh wait, I guess Gebx forgot about that.
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke
It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...." Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
and thats why a 500gb hard drive installed into the ps3 fixes everything :]
I wonder what the 360 DRM is? I'll try deleting my saved tv episodes from my 360 and try downloading them again..I'll be able to download them again endlessly..free of charge?

I guess it would only be a problem if PSN had too much content to offer for you to download.

I know why they are doing this.
When I had a ps3, I could easily open my PSN account on another PS3 and redownload the games I purchased and have them on 2 ps3s. Infact I did that when I was selling it and I gave my games to my friend... This was in May/June of 2008, i am not sure if they may have some protection by now.
If not, this seems like the only way as 1 movie purchase could lead to multiple people having a copy on their drive...and we can't have that can we?
well all the movie DL scene is rubbish if you ask me.
for a little more why not have it on a disc format.
i mean how many films do you expect to download on what ever hardrive you have?
no thanks i stick to bluray and hd-dvd formats
