Lol.. Well, at my school.. Electronic devices are banned, cell phones, ipod etc.. (you can still use them outside), im in the 10th grade, and.. during my second period class, the computers we're all down, and will be back up on monday.. and theres no clock in that room, so i took out my ipod for literally 5 seconds, checked the time, but i didn't know my teacher saw it, she came up and said to give the ipod to her, so i simply answered "No", she sent me down to the office, the principle said, give me your ipod, i answered "No", he asked twice accually, i said no twice.. Then i got suspended for 3 days, for opposition to authority, and i feel great, wanna know why? Because i still have my ipod! Theres no way im giving my ipod touch to them, my parent's laughed about it too be honest, my mom called also lol.

Well at least you don't have to go to school.

You just said "no"? Of course they're going to suspend you if you don't explain yourself.

Why didn't you just tell the teacher you were checking the time?

I did, but she told me to give it to her for even taking it out..

My school in Texas was far worst.

They suspended you for been late to class more than 5 times. Bringing an electronic was far worst. They suspended you, called your parents(Highschool).They made you write an essay about why you'll never bring back an electronic to school. To top that off when they took custody of it you'd have to pay them 15 dollars to get it back, or your parents would have to come and pay 10 dollars.

I hated that school.

Your punishment wasn't as bad as you think. Though you actually like it, but you should know its not good for your reputation.

the teacher could have given you back the ipod at the end of the day

Wow you guy's got it pretty rough, back when I was in high school (about 3years ago) I was usually late everytime and they didn't care you can have cell phones around, everyone did. And hell my friend use to bring his PSP to class every day and when we would have "reading time" he would play the PSP the whole time. The teacher even walked by once and seen it but didn't say a thing?

But I don't know maybe it's a lot more strict now?

Heh, you were allowed to use MP3 players (though they called 'em iPods) in the computer rooms of our school.

Hell, as long as the teacher wasn't talking, you were usually fine in any class.
