It's crazy numbers.
May be D/P sold 1.6 Million in 4 days there but we have to know that it's 2 versions and a lot people bought these 2 versions.
I'm sure Platinum sales will boost D/P sales too from 6k to 15-20k this week.

Damn, that's a real nice weekend for the game. It seems to be a pretty good game. I bought it for my gf on Saturday(release day) and she was playing it a lot over the weekend. I guess it's good that she was sick as we didn't really do anything and she had a lot of time to play it, hahaha.

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

This won't sell any hardware; Pokemon fans bought their DS a long time ago.

63000 DS units were sold last week and 49000 DS units were sold in the previous week(Famitsu numbers). So there was an increase in hardware sold.

I guess I should have qualified; to me 14k added to an install base of 80mil is nothing.
I just recognised that in 1998 the biggest german videogame magazine 'predicted' that Pokemon will only be a relatively short-living japanese pop culture phenomenon which will never be adopted by the western countries.
Btw. This magazine with the name 'Video Games' died in the year 2002.
RIP.
Such irony.

Expect to see a greater long term increase. By your logic Monster Hunter will never sell any more PSPs either because all Monster Hunter fans bought their PSPs a long time ago. You're just trying to mitigate this DS success by any means possible, damage control at its finest.
Also, how does comparing an increase in Japanese sales to the World Wide total show anything?
