These commercials seem like a HUGE waste of money. They just should've given 300m copies worth of Vista to people and hope they buy some of the other MS products. That'd have been a LOT better in my opinion.

This one is much better than the previous one. It's actually pretty funny. I honestly don't see how this will help sell Microsoft in the least bit though. Gecko's didn't get me to buy car insurance and frogs didn't get me to buy beer either so maybe this isn't directed at people like me.

Commercials or ads never work on me.  Ever.

ahah... thats funny cause even though you didn't buy car insurance you remembered the company, its mascott and what it sold. The ads work, they keep the company name and product in your mind so that if you ever want car insurance or think of changing your current insurance you'll at least think about their product. Ads don't have to sell you something, they just have to remind you that they exists.

Whats MS's BIGGEST problem?? Its reputation! Thats why they're using Bill and Jerry in humourus ads.

No matter what MS's message would of been they would of been bashed. So why not flip it and not have a message. Its like the VW "Lemon" ad shown in Mad Men. The ads are funny and pointless, but thats the point. The commercials are as gentle as possible with no clear "BUY THIS" message, because they're trying to sell you a softer company image.

I liked it but like a 5 minute show (about nothing...) not a commercial, but what the hey, if they (MS) think this is a good idea, they can do what they want. Just keep bringing my man Jerry on board!

i think they work well together.. they don't accomplish much in the way of advertising.. but i felt they actually had good chemistry together, which is sort of surprising
