Wow, I never actually expected WipeOut HD to be a 90+ title, but it might actually just be that...

It used to be 90+ title for the first 2 outings.

But based around recent hype, this game has barely been in existence. We didn't hear anything about it for a long time, only thing we knew was that it wasn't on schedule. Now the reviews are popping up and reminding everyone of the games existence... Plus I never actually played a WipeOut game in my life, meaning I had no reasonable expectations. And eight op the previous WipeOut games have been below 90+

New graphics don't make up for outdated gameplay.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

lol do i buy fatal inertia for 19.99 or wipout hd for 11.99----------------- i think its safe 2 say wipout is amoungst the best grafix seen this gen 1080p and 60fps. i so hope for a bluray release of this game but having said that, the tue wipout sequel is for another time so its looking like psn only but fingers crossed

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

So far it's getting great scores, was this expected?
I don't this because I haven't been keeping track of this game.

The Wipeout franchise has always been good, but ever since the first 2-3 games, it has been averaging in the mid-low 80's. I think this time Sony Liverpool is going back to the mechanics and fundimentals of the more succesful previous Wipeout games in the past, just this time are really nice graphics in 1080p, 60FPS, custom soundtracks, really cool modes (stages that interact with your custom music) and ofcourse, it's only $20.

Wow that's a great score. I never played any of the wipeout games but I did enjoy the futuristic racers that I've played (Fzero for 64 and GC) so I might pick it up.

@Skeeuk, yay ur back to ur old guile sig LOL
