I know people always bring up past systems, but can someone show me if another system ever competed so well with systems in the gen after it for so long. I mean the PS2 is tied with the 360 or close almost every week. It just seems ridiculous, but not unwarranted.

Ithink the NES was still selling very well until 1994 (3 years after the SNES launch)
mmm nintendo again??? Well, we r used to it, i guess
03/10/09 HUGE day in my life:
| NYANKS said: Jesus, the PS2 almost outsold the 360 three years into it's life cycle in Europe. That is just beastly. The PS2 will haunt everyone in their dreams for it will never die. The PS3 is the successor of a God. Poor thing, how can you live up to God, lol. |
By being Jesus? PS3 reincarnates to become the best selling console evar confirmed?
| leo-j said: North american sales will be intersting, if the ps3 outsells the 360 in NA(my expectation) then microsoft just killed themselves. |
-.- of course PS3 will overtake the 360 this week in NA. The price-cut just happened, how do you think a week before a price-cut will look like? Next week, after the price-cut will be interesting, though.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

This week only incorporates one or two days of the price drop.
But there should still be a substantial increase, just not as large as next week's.
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

No Im just saying that they dropped to mass market price too fast.. it drops the actual value of the console, makes it look somewhat cheap. But Im not a sales person, I really dont know what im saying. @Acevil This is the 1st time I post on one of these threads |
Yes, but by that logic, if the price-drop didn't help MS, then they were already dead. You can't kill what's already dead.
That said, I hope the 360 makes an epic comeback. It's a surprisingly good console, and I like it a lot, sans the RRoD fiasco.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
What Starcraft said.
This week also includes:
Infinite Undiscovery
North America: 5 days
Australia: 3 days
Europe: 2 days
Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise
North America: 5 days
Europe: 2 days

oh zen Ive been reading your posts, and I have to say your an extreemly biased poster
Also, yea It would be awsome if the 360 started selling much better, and the ps3 held its own, maybe we would finally see the ps360 start to eat some of the wiis market share.
