I believe this is about week over week figure. Just like the PS3 pricut boost.
In any case, what counts is the level where the sales settle after few weeks. Of course, this will have effect on hardware sales during christmas.

Well, yes. Sales always go up after a price cut. The real question is whether the sales bump will actually last longer than two weeks this time.

PS3 will continue to outsell X360 in worldwide weekly console sales, for the rest of the console generation. So X360 slightly outsells PS3 in NA by 10 to 15k per week. MS will lose money on selling X360 at a loss. Gain a small sales boost but generate losses.

Rock_on the PS3 is selling there system at a huge loss right now but how do you know the 360 is losing money?
