The boost is because of a game called Afrika.

It could just be natural fluctuation

 I wouldn't say so,espeacially in a time where all the other systems have dropped,except for DS but that's due to it getting some big games lately(well pretty big games).

I havn't really seen the PS3 under 10k much. 8k was one of lowest points in the PS3 sales. 10-12k is the normal PS3 sale in Japan isn't it? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Its not a real boost, it usualy goes up and down from under 10k to over 10k.

I can call it when, by example, MGS was released and its sales gone up til +- 50000 I think but 2-3k is just ridiculous as for Xbox 360 when its selling 2-3k more, sorry but I can't say that's a boost.

According to Media Create the PS3 is still below 10k for quite a time now. Average sales like 9k, This is a shame for sony.
