So... the game sold something like 1/3 more than ToV on a userbase 10x bigger?
Fail @ Japanese Wii owners.

Oh, for crying out loud. Why the heck are you even in the Nitnendo forums?
On topic, I believe it can. The previous one had a decent boost, and had some allright sales even 15-25 weeks after release. If this one follows that, it should make 300K.
On to the more important. Can FE:DS make 500K in Japan?

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS
I think your U.S. estimate of 400k + is a bit conservative. But I guess we have to be after seeing the Japanese numbers.
thats pretty cool. the first sold over 1 mil on gamecube so i hope this one does to. however it will be hampered by the main tales game coming out and the news that the next main tales game will be on wii

All tales games are good, besides Legendia. Tales of Symphonia is my favorite as well. Tales of Vesperia is awesome and totally worth it. (I'm playing as we speak.)

apparently the game isnt coming to europe till 2009:(

Week 9: 4,201
Week 10: 4,239
Week 11: 4,637
It increased... AGAIN!! Long legs confirmed? xD
(Hoping there wasn't some Japanese holiday last week I don't know about)
Looks like it's leveling off at around 4k / week, I think it has a good shot of passing 300k, and if this keeps up it might just pass ToS.
This is very surprising. It has some nice legs. 300k seems very possible. I laugh at the fanboys who used it not outselling ToS as it failing. The game is still selling great and that seems pretty amazing for the genre, and the series specifically. I can't wait for the U.S release though, and could see this being a million seller.
What kind of incredible unrealistic feat TOS 2 must achieve to not be considered a failure?
1) It must outsell TOS worldwide
2) It must outsell TOV 10:1 in Japan, because the Wii userbase is much bigger
3) It must be the best selling spin off in the series
4) If the gamerankings average is a single point below 85, it is a failure.
