Forums - Nintendo - Where is Dragon Quest IX??

Still no release date for Japan. A big title like this usually has ample notice to allow preorders and tie in promotions. No news soon and I doubt this will surface in 2008.

Yeah I don't believe it's going to happen in 2008 either to tell you the truth. DQs are always surrounded by hype and previews galore before their releases, and I have yet to see a recent one.

Just kiss the tip.

SE won't release it before DQVI remake hit the market.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

I hope they announce it soon...

the jump from DQVII to DQVIII was big. it made me care about the DQ series. but DQIX seems like it's taking a few steps backwards.

@OP
I bet for an early 2009 release

Knowing SE release schedules, I'm going to go with March 2009.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Care to justify that? It's adding features DQVIII didn't have and subtracting none.  It not going on the system you wanted isn't a "step backwards."

he mean graphics, and thats pretty obvious its a step backward.

The DS is more powerfull than the PSX, so DQ9 won`t look as bad as DQ 7. Also, sometimes a step back in graphics is several steps in gameplay (Megaman 9).
