Yeah, and that last quarter they lost a few hundred mil IIRC.

I heard the Zune drained like half a billion from the E&D division.  See I can make baseless claims as well as other people on this forum.  Not talking to the guys I quoted, but others.

 

I heard that the Zune in psrock's avatar generated in upwards of $30 in ad revenue for VGChartz.

Edit: Well, not the Zune itself. But something close to it!

IIRC the Zune made 1 billion dollars, and the 360 lost 1.5 billion.

 You have your facts backwards, Sony is trailing Microsoft. You people love to ignore the bigger picture just because small weekly increments give you hope. You need to give it up that the PS3 is not the PS2. Sony took a totally different route this gen and they are paying dearly for it. Microsoft can play that game too. A price drop will produce larger results than that of Sony. Sony has a year or so until they can afford to pander to the same crowd Microsoft has waited to be attracting this year.

Are you referring to the 12 months lead? How will you guys react when the ps3 catch the 360, i can't wait.

For the fiscal year 2008, the Entertainment and Devices Division turned an operating profit of $426 million. It lost money in the 4th quarter ($188 million), but the fiscal year was a mild success.

Fact checking is beyond some. Trying to reason with DMJ is pointless mostly. He's the guy you hear on the forums chanting "Sony! Sony! Sony!" and then you'll see him in line at a game store buying Wii and 360 games
