The SNES/GENESIS generation was my 'golden time' with videogames, but back then I didn´t follow the business side of this industry....I hear many gamers say that was THE console wars..do you agree/disagree?

Possibly. Does anybody know if Nintendo really threatened to withhold stock from retailers who carried Sega stuff? If Sega was telling the truth about that, that's srs biznis.

On the fanboy side, it wasn't nearly as bad, though. The Internet encourages people to say things that would get them an ass-kicking IRL. And I don't remember many fights on the playground between Nintendo and Sega fans!

That was my favorite era in gaming. Competition was at an all-time high. Sega and Nintendo were cranking out quality products and snatching up exclusive support left and right. Both systems kicked ass. It was the last generation before giant corporations gained a foothold and used money to off-set the industry. It was the last generation where the focus was on games and gaming, rather than having ultra-corporations duking it out by buying up developers.

It was much worse.  They just didn't have internet forums like this back then.

Who won? I bet the Nintendo kids, because they got strong from their Power Pad and Power Glove!
