whens the mass effect movie coming

You forgot Prince of Persia... thats my choice :P

1) Halo will be rubbish IMO. Most 1st person shooters lack story meaning if it is to be translated into a film, it will be thoughtless shooting and blowing things up in a similar fashion to Doom.

2) Zelda would be awesome if it was made by a director like Del Torro. He's style of filming (Pan's Labyrinth) would match that off Zelda.

3) There is a Japanese film called Casshern that is critically acclaimed for being brilliant. I've seen it and it is what MGS would be like if it is to be made properly.

4) Tekken would be a whole load of balls so I hope they don't make a Tekken film. Just as I pray the next Street Fighter gets canned for being totally nothing like or about what SF is meant to be.

5) Castlevania would be badass if they would get the game makers to aid in scripting and directing it. 

6) Max Payne looks ace. Marky Mark rules!

7) Spyro- Pixar it!

8) World of Warcraft... Peter Jackson... but then it will be just another LoTR style game :s

9) The Sims?! the person should be killed for making a game that will based on the sims :s the thought of it alone makes me want to cry :'(

4) Phantasy Star

5) Yakuza

6) Shadow of the Collusus

Yakuza already has a movie released in japan in 2006 it was made by the same director of Ichi the Killer so it may be a good movie

Prince of Persia. Because I don't mind if it bombs.... but I will be pissed if the MGS movie bombs... which it probably will......

On the original list, I'd vote for Castlevania.

Exactly zero - and that would have probably included the Halo movie.

Most games being made into movies are already of B movie quality as best if not D movie quality (yes, including Halo, the original of which is probably a solid B movie as plots go) so the thought of making them into real B movies at best and real D movies at worst just saddens me as much as the next unnecessary remake of a classic film.

I like games. I like films. Films based on games tend to suck a great deal. Games based on films also tend to suck a great deal.

I want to play great games and watch great films - and this would be easier without the various abortions involved when the two cross paths.

Metal Gear Solid, even though most movies based on games suck.
