Corruption is officially one year old!

Is it me or does time fly? It seems like only months ago when I was heavily anticipating this game and finally got it in my hands for true Wii bliss with its updated control scheme as Samus fought off the effects of phazon and Dark Samus's army.

And in one year MP3 has managed to sell 1.47m worldwide, pushing it over Super Metroid and Prime 2 with Fusion in its crosshairs.

So this is a thread of reflection. One year after the fact, how do you feel about MP3? has it laid the groundwork for future Wii shooters? Is it not worthy of the name Metroid?

Personally, I'm going through the game again on Veteran mode (too chicken to jump to Hyper Mode :P)

Definitely the best Prime game. They tried many different things with this game, such as ship interaction, motion controls that make sense, and they took a better story approach with the Federation and all. Only good things came out of this game!

I ''rapped'' this game to death! I completed it over 5 times on Hypermode difficulty, perfecting my completion time as well. Man I loved it! This is still my favorite Wii game, and here's hoping Retro Studios will make more Metroid games.

Too bad they missed a gold opportunity by leaving multiplayer out of the game. I guess they didn't want people to focus on the multiplayer aspect (good reason to drop the score, for example). With that said, I loved Metroid Prime 2: Echoes' multiplayer mode. ^^

I will start another playthrough soon, but right now I'm wrapped up with new games.

MP3 is one of my favorite games on the Wii by far. It's really done an amazing job at implementing motion controls... perhaps even the best so far. It's my favorite in the Prime series, and virtually tied with Super Metroid. Nice to see it's sold almost 1.5 million units so far.

What is everyone's favorite world in this game? Elysia (I think that's what it was called) was probably my favorite. It's just so serene walking in the flying city...and the occasional rumbling and movement of the city made it really come to life and feel real. Bryo kicked ass too.

The Valhalla was pretty intense, but Bryyo is definitely my favorite world. The music and setting was just perfect.

I like bryyo. I love reading the scans here. It made it much more interesting hearing about ancient civilizations. I love the architecture of the building on brryo too.  Phaaze was really cool too. A living planet how cool is that? Elysia was also great, and one of the most beautiful parts of the game. I love the way the worlds in metroid games come to life. The only world I disliked was Norion, yes it fitted the technological setting, but it felt bland doing so. I want to play the game again just thinking about it. I'll beat it again after I finish Tales of Vesperia.

MP series is a masterpiece. This trilogy is one true example of what Nintendo is capable of.

Best game I own for the Wii :)

This game was epic. Although i wished it had more backtracking to do, as that was always a staple in the Metroid games.

I liked the Bryyo planet the most, but the skytown was pretty sick too.

should play on hyper mode someday.
