The ones with an * are characters that appeared only in Mario Party 8, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Super Sluggers or Mario & Sonic at the Olympics, therefore, they should counted as characters that need to appear in a full scale game with only 1 franchise.

Pit, Kid Icarus Wii has to come.

Also Kirby and King Dedede, but probally for DS.

Kirby is guaranteed cause it's Sakurai's character
Mario, Pikachu is also guaranteed cause they are mascots...

they're not dropping Fox and Falco. same with falcon. hell, i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't drop anyone! perhaps they may update the fire emblem chars, and pokemon.

rob and g&w will be back. the WTF chars. can't be left behind. :b

I've never played any Mother/Earthbound game, but they seem interesting.

Kirby is obviously a check because there's already a Kirby Wii game in the works.

Team Earthbound, Famicom, G&W, and Metal Gear are the only that probably won't return.

The Kirby GC-game that is now meant for Wii will probably be released eventually. I'm expecting atleast Kirby and Dedede in it, and possibly Metaknight.

Star Fox will come for Wii sooner or later. Fox, Falco and Wolf are shoe-ins.

I don't think Nintendo will pass up on a F-Zero for Wii. Captain Falcon will return.

Olimar is all but confirmed. I will be extremely surprised if Pikmin 3 does not feature Olimar.

Pokémon trainer should count, since I believe Ivysaur, Charizard and Squirtle are in the Pokémon Wii game, aren't they?

Also, I believe in the Kid Icarus Wii-game, although that's just my personal belief.

EDIT: Some people seem to be misunderstanding the thread. From what I understand, the OP is not asking what characters will return in a Smash Bros. 4, but rather what characters will be featured on the Wii in a game of their own series.
