Forums - Gaming - What system was pushed the farthest graphically? (Lots of pics)

Mmmm, PS2 for me, Look back at tekken tag tournament, then look at Tekken5, SoTC or GOW2... If I didn't own them I'd never believe they are for the same system

Listen to the voice of reason, then do as I say.

I'd say the SNES. When DKC came out it gave the SNES a second wind.Though I will say the Cube had the best looking games last gen. Rebel Strike was ridiculous Prime series on cube was gorgeous, and then you had RE4 (and the REmake). This is why many Wii owners are pist off at devs who can't provide games that look comparable to Rebel Strike or RE4 from day one, considering the Wii is 2.5x's more powerful than the cube.

In fact seeing many games from last gen from GOD of War II to RE4 makes me even more frustrated with lazy ass devs on the Wii. I also feel that the Wii will have the biggest leap when its all said and done.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

NES. I still think Kirby's Adventure is a great looking game.

Pixel Art can be fun.

GameCube

I can still play Rebel Strike and be floored by the visuals, even after playing graphical powerhouses like Fallout 3.

I would say PS2 as well, SSX to God of War 2, Shadow of The Colossus and Final Fantasy 12.

Just for comparison, here's the PS3. Pretty good, too.

Best looking launch title: Resistance: Fall of Man:

Best looking final build of PS3 title: Killzone 2:
