I'm with Stats on this one. I don't see anything within the platforming portions that defines this game as not for the casual gamer. The inclusion of physics is neat, but doesn't necessarily mean the game is more difficult.

Casual gamers can play the 50 levels on the disc and then take their pick through the levels online if they so care to.

Hardcore gamers will play through those 50, and then try to mess around with the level creator, even if they don't have a specific goal of creating a level, just to see what they can do with the physics.

That's how I see both groups playing the game.

Exactly. You're not going to have to build your own levels to enjoy the game. I'll probably only mess around with the level editing tools for a small amount of time to see what I can do.

The ~50 levels on the disc are a taster, and there are sure to be hundreds of good levels up for download. It reminds me of Blizzard's Starcraft and Warcraft 'User Map Settings' modes. All the really good user generated levels will rise to the top and they'll be much better than the 50 levels included in the game because they'll find things to do that even the developers couldn't foresee.

That's what I'm getting it for - the introductory levels already included, a little experimentation of my own, and to play the best user generated levels with friends online.

Ok, so explain to me the storyline if the 50 levels part is interesting.

How in the world would I know the storyline? Ask me in November

edit: also the 50 levels are interesting because they are fun to play.  As every preview I have read has stated.

...

Good job sony.

I'd say many kids will be unwrapping a box like this for Christmas, Chanukah and Qwanza.

 Hear say is not enough.

I thought it was Hannukah?

I want that box!

It makes the PS3 look cool and fun to play. It will definetly be a big hit in Europe.

^Wow, that looks nothing like the image that sony wanted to give about the ps3 some time ago.

Apparently they're doing what they needed to. They want the game to sell, what better way to do it than bundle the game with the console??? Now, it has an actual shot to sell a LOT.

Nice sony, now u r being smart
