Over the past 12 months the XBox 360 has sold 9.5 Million systems and the PS3 has sold 10.5 Million systems, if both systems sell at a similar rate the XBox 360 will pass 50 Million between May and October of 2011 and the PS3 will pas 50 Million between October if 2011 and March of 2012.

Over the past 12 months the PS3 has sold way more than 1 million more that the 360.


I doubt the 360 will ever reach 50 million.So if the PS3 reach that milestone it will be always before the 360.

Well, although the Ps3 has been selling more units recently, it's not like the Ps3 is outselling by a 2-to-1 ratio or anything like that. The X360 has pretty much kept up with the Ps3 sales, and add the what, 5M lead, and I would think the 360 would beat the PS3 to 30 million, but unsure about 50 million...

The PS3 will reach 100 million before the wii or 360.

If it doesnt, my hope to become a games analyst will become nothing but a dream....

Ps3 will never reach 100mil and may be lucky to reach 50 million. 360 I think will finish around 40 million. Wii who knows. It still selling amazingly well and doesn't look like it is going to slow down any time soon.

If I´m not mistaken, you said in another thread you expect the 360 to finish this generation in the 40/45 million range and the PS3 in the 60 million.
